My name is Gabito, Me llamo Gabito

Gabito

My name is Gabito the Life of Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Me llamo Gabito la vida de Gabriel Garcia Marquez by Monica Brown

My name is Gabito is another bilingual book I read. It’s a biography about a boy who as a child had a wild imagination and grew up to be a well known author. He has an amazing imagination where his grandmother’s dictionary helped him develop his vocabulary and when he walked with his grandfather seeing the banana worker’s attributed a great deal to his stories. The pictures are amazing in this book. I loved the use of color and the definition of the characters features. I could see how intense his imagination was through the illustrations. This book would be for more advanced readers and also great for bilingual children.
